Whether your love is short distance running, marathons, or racing in triathlons, the therapists at Leonardo Physical Therapy can help you perform at your best.  Our staff can frequently be found both participating in endurance events and volunteering at local races.


Running Assessments and Injury Prevention

We offer 1 hour running assessments that allow us to identify weaknesses in the runner that may be contributing to an injury or to help you avoid an injury. From there, we will educate you on the most effective exercises to help you run free from pain, make shoe recommendations, and /or help you achieve a more efficient running form.

Running Assessment fee: $150

Running Injury Rehabilitation

​

80% of running injuries are due to overuse injuries where a runner’s body (muscle, tendon, or bone) can no longer withstand the stress of running. This can happen for a number of reasons including muscular strength imbalances, flexibility deficits, and poor running technique.   

​

Common running injuries that we treat include: Achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, posterior tibial tendonitis, shin splints, ITB syndrome, runner’s knee, and stress fractures. At Leonardo Physical Therapy, we will conduct a 1 hour comprehensive evaluation to assess your injury and develop a plan of care to guide you back to pain free running.

Whether you have seen a doctor or not, and need formal rehabilitation, we can get you back on the road again.
